About me

As a life coach, I assist people to find the tools to enable them to live their lives to their full potential and to be their 'best self'. You have the tools and the answers already in you and as a coach I will ask the right questions to enable you to think differently or to see a situation from a different point of view. Unlike counselling or therapy coaching does not tend to be post crisis and does not focus on the past but looks at ways to move forward.

Coaching can benefit you if you feel overwhelmed by an ongoing situation or need motivation to ultimately succeed.

I use the GROW model of coaching, used by many Olympian athletes. The GROW model focuses on goal setting, looking at the reality of the situation, then your options and then the way forward.

Training, qualifications & experience

I am Sarah Birch and I graduated from the University of Roehampton in 1993 with a BSc Honours degree in Psychology (Major) and Sociology. I then went on to develop a career in Social Services working with a variety of service users. After having my daughter in 1999 I took time out of my career to raise my young family and after having my son in 2002 returned to work in the International Eating Disorders Unit in Aylesbury as a cognitive behavioural therapist.
After moving to the Cotswolds in 2006, I worked for the local NHS Mental Health Team then I decided that the best way to achieve a good work/life/family balance was to become self employed and look at running my own business. I set up Hasyhome in 2007, a decluttering business, assisting people in decluttering their homes in order to enable them to achieve clarity in their lives. I felt deeply fulfilled when clients were coming back to me expressing how liberated they felt and how life changing it was to eliminate their hoards so I decided to sign up for a diploma in life coaching as an extension to my existing qualifications and experience. I completed my Life Coaching Diploma last year with Oxford College and have been coaching ever since. I offer an initial consultation for free to establish what coaching can do for you and how we can proceed in order to enable you to live the life you want to live and to be your 'best self'.
