Based in Henfield, West Sussex, I do one to one coaching, group coaching and workshops. Location of clients is never an issue as I have international clients worldwide that I coach individually via Skype.
What is coaching and how can I help you?
Coaching can help improve your quality of life, and enhance personal and professional performance. The process involves creating a trusting, supportive environment with a thought-provoking structure that challenges you to tackle problems, explore possibilities and rediscover talents you may have ignored or shied away from.
Coaching is not therapy or counselling. Some tools from this field are used, but the focus of coaching is on the future, not the past.
Rather than offer solutions and answers, I will help you to find your own strategies and resources. Together we will set realistic, manageable goals against which your progress will be measured.

Training, qualifications & experience
I spent 22 years as an Emergency nurse and have a BSC (hons) Emergency Nurse Practitioner degree. My experience exposed me to many cultures and age groups, helping me to become a great listener, non-judgemental and broad minded.
I have a good sense of humour, and can make people feel comfortable and at ease. I am positive and compassionate, but also direct when I think it required in the coaching process. I have worked extensively on my own personal development and have a wealth of life experience. I lived in Switzerland with my family for several years , during which time I qualified as a Personal Transformative Life Coach and group coach, and began my practice in the international community there. Now in the UK, I offer individual and group coaching in Henfield, Kent & West Sussex, or via Skype.
I am a member of the Association of Coaching and work to the ICF code of conduct, ethics and confidentiality.

Areas of coaching I deal with
A package of 6 sessions taken over a maximum time period of 3 months is £360.00.
One-off sessions at £60.00 per hour are available following course completion.
E-mail support is given throughout the programme as required, with a follow up e-mail to check on progress after completion of the course.
Urgent and weekend sessions or email support after course completion will incur an additional charge of £20.00.
Ruth Colling is a great coach and very professional. I am very happy with the sessions that I had with her and I might continue as well from time to time. She has a natural talent to connect with people — from the first moment she understood me, she understood my problems and my wishes as well as my fears and the things that make me happy. Together we practised several exercises to help me to understand myself and my circumstances and I found these materials very challenging at times but of course very useful. Due to her talent and ability to understand and connect with people she can get straight to the point and understands the need to discuss issues. From the first minute of the first session you feel that she is helping you to change.

I didn’t even think I needed coaching, but it emerged very early on that there were areas for me to explore. I sought life coaching to try and help with my weight and confidence issues. Ruth encouraged me to dig deeper and help find what might be the root cause of these issues.
Without being forceful or leading me, I was encouraged to revisit memories that I had purposefully kept hidden.
