Do you want to make some changes in your life, feel better about yourself and in control of your destiny? I specialise in helping people make the journey from where they are to where they would like to be.
I believe that everyone can make changes to improve their lives. My focus is not only to help people help themselves, but to manage their relationships with others around them so that they can maintain their motivation and continue to achieve their goals. Anxiety, old beliefs and fears can keep us locked in the past and so my work aims help people break free of these constraints.
I specialise in helping people who have had difficulties in managing their weight and in living a healthier lifestyle, especially if they have tried many weigh loss diets without success. I know from working with people for over 30 years that it is difficult to make changes to your life, such as weight loss and becoming healthier, without understanding yourself and how you manage your life first. So I help you look at how you do this in areas such as your relationships with others, your routine, how are what you eat. I can help you build confidence from the inside, so you can make better choices in how to lose weight, improve your health and maintain those changes without slipping back.
I have successfully helped people do this and achieve goals that have always eluded them in the past.
As well as weight management and lifestyle coaching, I offer help and support in achieving your goals in relation to your family, relationships with others, depression, anxiety, stress and confidence building.
I coach both face to face and on SKYPE.
Training, qualifications & experience
I have trained as a Coach with Noble Manhattan between 2010 and 2012, which has included 50 hours of coaching sessions, mentoring and residential courses.
My qualifications are -

NVQs in Management - 1993
Systems Management - 1995
Degree in Sociology from London University - 1975
I have worked with children and families in various roles. This included working in residential units for children and adults. After qualifying as a Social Worker at West London College in 1982, I worked in statutory social work and then in developing projects in charities/voluntary organisations. I have done a wide range of work with individuals and families including mediation, group work around Anger Management and Self Esteem and worked with families and step families in conflict. I also worked part-time in Adult Education teaching counselling skills for21 years.
My extensive work with both adults and children who were experiencing serious difficulties or crises in their lives enabled me to see how difficult people find it to make changes to manage their lives better. I approach this with both understanding and empathy.
I write regularly for "Community Care" magazine and am currently writing a book about my experiences in social work.

My fees are £50 per hour, and I offer packages of six sessions for the price of 5 and 4 sessions for the price of 3.
Payment via Pay Pal or BACS at present.
I have an interest in how food and food groups can affect people's health and well being especially how our food is changed in many ways , and how our environment can encourage overeating.
I have an interest in history, learning languages (currently studying German) and keeping fit including dance.
