Hi, welcome to Tradewinds Coaching.
Even today I feel that Life Coaching is not very well understood and various theories abound. Read on for a better explanation and what to expect!
It is not like "coaching" you will generally hear about, where the person is a teacher, having been there, done the job, got the T shirt and is now passing on their expertise to the student. Far from it!!
As your coach I do not need to know your life in detail. I can help you build your self confidence in your career, relationships and work life balance. I am non judgemental and non critical, but at the same time will not give advice unless specifically requested for it.
You deserve to improve your health, reduce your stress, (particularly in areas of finances/money, but also if dealing with staff/business challenges.)
YOU have all the answers within you, by careful enquiry and encouragement I will help bring those qualities out from within, to improve your personal development often a lot faster than you may expect.
I am a retired ship Captain and can relate to any issues relating to management and leadership of self and others. If you consider yourself as "You Inc" then it is easy to see how to run the business of your life.Ironically, a good coach does themselves out of business by quickly helping resolve the issues which may be holding you back from achieving your hopes and dreams.
Coaching is not all fluffy and warm. When necessary it can and should be stark and confrontational to ease you out of your comfort zone. I would not be doing my job if I did not challenge you from time to time. If you want an easy way out, ( but not likely to achieve your potential) please seek out another coach.

I started Tradewinds Coaching in October 2008, beginning with personal performance coaching and Small business coaching. My intention was to return to the world of international shipping (I am a retired ship Captain) but realised I was no longer happy in the corporate world.
I have developed my business into a niche of dealing with the unexpected turns of early or ill health retirement, and also redundancy, but general personal coaching issues are never far away.
I personally suffered an extended bout of clinical depression and can relate on a basic level to the feelings you may be experiencing. Just being able to vocalise your fears and beliefs can produce a tremendous uplift in your mood and situation. (Please note: coaching is not counselling. We will look at your present situation and look ahead. We do not dredge up the past, but make a plan to move forward!)
I have been at the top level of management and know how lonely it can be.I only wish I had the benefit of a coach, someone to bounce ideas off without being criticised or fear of recriminations from "the company."
A bit of personal "me" time works wonders, you deserve it!

Fees
Take advantage of a free, no obligation telephone coaching consultation, because positive results start right here. There’ll be no pressure, no sales techniques – just a friendly 45 minute conversation about the things you want to be better and how coaching can help you make it happen.
My fees for One-to One individual telephone coaching is clear and simple.
The first introductory session is free of charge.
£70/session (approx 50 minutes) or £100/80 minute session).
Sessions are payable in advance either by Paypal request (can use credit or debit card), electronic bank transfer or cheque (cleared)
I charge the full fee for appointments cancelled with less than 36 hours notice.
It is the duty of the client to call me at the appointed time, and they must agree that if the session is late starting and it encroaches onto another appointment that I will terminate the session early without refund.

I live in rural countryside with a limited bus/train service to the village. The majority of my coaching is carried out over the phone or using skype on the computer. (If you are not familiar with skype it is a free service for speaking/visual interaction and easy to install, I can talk you through it over the phone.)
I can also arrange face to face consultation at a location of your choice, this would incur travel/time cost surcharge whenever relevant.
