I am a highly perceptive personal development and leadership coach. My focus is to help you make sense of anything that it is sapping your energy, time and concentration. I do this by creating time and space to think, where I can listen, and help you make sense of it all. I will help you find the pathway to move forward with a solution that is right for you, whatever the issue.
My clients vary from working mothers to business owners. They vary in age from 18 years old to retirement age. I am very proud of the fact that I am able to build trusting relationships with my clients and we get results quickly. Clients are frequently surprised how much better they feel once they start talking about what is on their mind and wish they had done it sooner.
My initial consultation is free and we use this time to discuss what you need to get out of our sessions together.
I am a working mum myself with two young children. When I am not working I like to challenge myself to be a better runner. I am a Governor of the local primary school because I am passionate about supporting the young people of our community. I run my own coaching business and I am also an Associate Director for a coaching consultancy - Archipelo. www.archipelo.co.uk.

Before becoming a professional coach I had a highly successful career of 20 years in the travel industry where I was responsible for day to day operations, sales, recruitment, training and development.

I am also certified in a psychometric profiling tool called Tilt365. It can be really helpful as a visual aid to raising self-awareness. Whilst it is not an essential tool in coaching both my clients and I do find it a rewarding complement to coaching.
My daughter suggested I should have some coaching sessions with Lucy since she had found them so useful herself.I was at a stage when I needed to work through certain challenges at work and look at the next stage in my life. Lucy's coaching sessions have been a very positive experience for me and helped me to put into practice ways of coping that I have understood in the past but not been active enough at using. She is always friendly and supportive while at the same time being utterly professional. She is astute and knows when to probe a little further in order to facilitate a deeper understanding of what is really going on. Lucy is able to challenge a particular statement and encourage one to look at things in a slightly different way. I found the "homework" (things I needed to think about for the next session) very helpful because they forced me to face issues that I had had a tendency to evade, some with surprisingly positive results. She has enabled me to bring my level of awareness to the forefront and also reminded me of the mechanisms I can use to deal with general concerns and worry. Lucy's coaching has enabled me to feel much more positive and confidentabout the future direction of my life. - Business owner, Gloucestershire
With the start of school fast approaching for my youngest daughter and my thoughts turning towards returning to work or further education I decided to use a coach to evaluate my previous paid role, to explore my options and focus my mind on values that matter to me for a new position in the future. Lucy was already known to me and I have always found her to be professional, approachable and a great listener. My experience of using Lucy as a coach has reinforced that opinion but has also shown me how naturally Lucy put me at ease and how her questions and exercises made me identify an unknown stumbling block for me moving forward. I can now approach the future with every confidence and more self- awareness. - IT Project Manager, Oxfordshire

Frequently asked Questions -
Where are you based?
I live in Oxfordshire but frequently travel to a mutually convenient location to meet clients. Don't let location be a barrier to achieving your goals.
How long is a session?
My sessions last 90 minutes. One of the comments I most hear from clients is the feeling of relief and calmness of someone giving them their undivided attention, to be listened to and without judgement. Sessions can occasionally last two hours but generally speaking most clients reach a natural conclusion for that session after about 90 minutes. In my experience around 4-6 sessions are usually required but this can vary from person to person. Often the behaviours and beliefs we want to change take time to be recognised and understood before moving on to ones that are more helpful to achieving the outcome you want.
Are coaching and counselling the same?
Coaching is a forward thinking, solution focused approach to supporting people. This differs from counselling when the majority of the focus can be on your past and making sense of the journey to where you are today. My coaching focusses on unlocking your true potential by raising your self-awareness of any behaviours supporting or holding you back in achieving your personal or business goals. Mentoring is something different again. A mentor is typically someone who uses their own experiences to offer support and guidance to someone else.
What can I expect from a session?
This is your time to talk and to be heard. I will ask you questions to help challenge your perception of situations. We will discuss and agree goals and objectives. Only you know what is best for you so I will not tell you what to do. I will help you to see possibilities, build confidence where required and support you whilst you develop skills and behaviours that support you and don't hold you back.
Please read the testimonials on my website for first hand feedback from my clients.
Coaching isn't a cosy chat over a cup of tea! Yes we will chat and we may well have tea but I am here to make sure you get a return on the investment you are making.
How do I know if coaching is right for me?
My advice would be to drop me a line and we can chat it through. If I don't believe I am the right person to help you I will help you find the right person. I am bound by the ethics of the International Coach Federation. This is extremely important to me so you can trust that I have your best interest at heart
