How Coaching can help you.
My focus as a coach is to improve performance, helping my clients to be even better at what they want to do. My style is to create a thinking and exploration space free from judgement but with challenge to aid self-awareness, clarity and motivation to change. I will listen attentively and generatively to your goals, and objectives and with the aid of visualisation and positive psychology, I will help you to unleash you inner abilities to find the path to achieving your goals and maybe even your dreams too.
My Coaching Style
I will adapt my style to your needs which could range from focusing on a pragmatic plan of action for the first 90 days of a new role to an attention to feelings and emotion to explore purpose and meaning. Within this, meetings can range from conventional coaching conversations to playful experiments sessions based on a proven coaching toolset - what ever works best for you.
I specialise in Performance Coaching which is a solutions focused coaching route to helping you to develop your true potential, to manage change positively and perform better in what you want to do. primarily I use the well known GROW technique of exploring your Goal, understanding and building awareness of current Reality, identifying Options and finally exploring the Will to carry these through.
It can cover:
- Increasing your self awareness - become your own inner coach
- Career coaching - finding out what motivates, inspires and drive you in your career
- Understanding purpose, meaning and fulfilment in performance
- Identifying achievable and challenging personal goals
- Valuing, developing and deploying your inner strengths to improve confidence
- Addressing and controlling the gremlins and negative thoughts that hold you back
- Improving your leadership skills and leadership potential
- Managing stress, improving well-being and managing work life balance.
- Managing change positively
- Transitions to new roles, leadership transitions

Coping with change
Finding the right coach is critical to success. I am therefore committed to providing an initial free (usually 30 minute telephone) consultation on what you would like to achieve and how I may be able to help you.
If you decide to begin a coaching programme with me then my fees are:
- Free initial (30 minute) telephone/Skype/Facetime Consultation
- Face to face coaching - £50 per hour + VAT with a charge for travel time and expenses
- Online/Sype/Facetime/Telephone is priced at £40 per hour + VAT.
- I would recommend a combination of face to face and online sessions (where distance permits).
- I offer discounts for Educational Organisations.
What to expect in your initial free consultation.
I would usually arrange to do this by telephone or via Skype/Facetime. This is an opportunity for us to meet and for you as a potential client to gauge whether I would be the right coach for you. We will have a general conversation about coaching, what you want to achieve and the timescale over which you would like coaching to take place. We will talk about any previous coaching experiences as this may give an insight as to what works or does not work for you and I will ask a few questions to develop an understanding of your needs. I will then leave you to reflect on the consultation and to decide whether to go ahead.
What to expect in your first session.
In the first session we will continue to get to know each other and to talk in more detail about the goals you may have over the programme and we will contract together on how the sessions can be most helpful for you.
You may find it helpful to set aside some time before an after the coaching session. It can be helpful before a session to have some time to gather your thoughts about what you would like to achieve in the session and if there is a specific need for your session. Even if you have a longer term goal that you are working on, occasionally an issue arises, maybe an incident at work, a difficult conversation you need to have,or a new opportunity has arisen that is important for you, remember these are your sessions and if it is more helpful to talk about the pressing issue then this can be the best use of your time.
After coaching, you may find it useful to take a few moments to reflect and think about the session. Therefore if you are receiving coaching while at work be careful about meeting times.
Face to Face, Skype, FaceTime or Telephone
How you would like to receive coaching is primarily your choice. Face to face coaching will depend on the travel distance. I am able to come to offices within a commuting distance, but I do charge for this time. Similarly we can agree to meet in a mutually convenient location. Skype and FaceTime can be helpful but are sometimes subject to digital gremlins. I also coach over the telephone though I do find that this is sometimes restricting in the tools and techniques available.
My professional background is in leading change.
I have worked with global manufacturing organisations (ICI, PPG),media - the BBC, several SMEs and a range of Educational organisations. I own a small niche consultancy Cliccouves LTD which delivers project management, change consulting, leadership development and facilitation and training.
My Education consultancy brand EDUSOAR is currently featured on my Website cliccouves.co.uk
One aim is to promote Appreciative Enquiry as a route to continuous improvement. This enables a focus on what is working and what is good currently in an organisation (on which to build) rather than a focus on what is going wrong or is missing.
Lorraine is a very effective coach who has the ability to challenge you to think more deeply about situations and issues you may be facing.
Her coaching style is a mix of excellent questioning and listening skills combined with insightful examples and learnings which help you to better understand a problem and which guide you to different conclusions and solutions from those you would have developed yourself.
She provides you with many tools and techniques that you can work on both within and outside of your sessions in order to better achieve the objectives you have set.
In my experience, you always came away from your sessions, with Lorraine, armed with new ideas and feeling energised to put these new ideas into action.
I would highly recommend Lorraine for her incisive and structured approach to coaching which has certainly provided me with a significant boost in developing my leadership skills.
