About me

I am an experienced coach who helps people to know and understand themselves better so that they value themselves and their strengths, take control of their life and relationships and enjoy increased happiness and success in their work and personal life

About me

As a qualified and experienced coach, I have found that focusing on helping people to understand themselves and their response to a situation gives them the power to change  I get huge pleasure from helping people to discover or rediscover things about themselves and suddenly realise that they can make the changes they have been wanting.

I trained as a coach while working as a Hospital manager, so that I could more skilfully help clinicians and managers to be happier and more successful at work. An injury forced me to retire early after nearly thirty years in the NHS and I now use life coaching to support people with their personal development and through executive coaching with their careers.

I believe that the power of coaching is in the quality of the relationship between the coach and person being coached and I use dialogue, asking you the questions you hadn’t thought to ask yourself, and feedback to help you gain insights and understand yourself better. Sometimes I use the information from psychometric tests such as the Myers-Briggs type indicator to deepen this understanding. We would then develop a plan around the goal or issue you have brought to coaching.

Areas I can help with include

  • Improving personal or working relationships
  • Helping people who are feeling “stuck” in their careers or lives to find a way forward
  • Helping you to identify and live your life aligned with your core values and beliefs
  • Helping young people to gain a sense of direction and decide on the next steps in their life
  • Understanding and change the way you respond to certain stimuli
  • Uncover and remove the beliefs and barriers that may be holding you back
  • Helping get back to work after a break or redundancy
  • Moving forward after a major change in your life
  • Living a more healthy life

Fees

I offer a free initial session of around 30 minutes to discuss what you want from coaching and to ensure I am the right coach for you. We can then agree the way forward.

I charge different rates for individuals, businesses and charities and discounted rates if you book a series of five sessions or more.

I coach in Oxted (free parking available, or a 4 minute walk from the train station).

I prefer to coach face to face.
