Aims & Objectives
As indicated above, as a life coach, my aims and objectives are to motivate and inspire clients presenting for coaching in their process of self-identified change to achieve and maintain their targeted goals.
My hope is to target a diverse range of people as coaching clients, as in my current counselling and supervision practice. I am able to work across communities, and inter-racially with a good understanding of issues of diversity, based on a wide ranging experience of the sectors in which I have worked both in the past, and currently. I have a passion for working with the vibrancy of young people which reflects both extensive past work experience but is a smaller part of my current practice. I am flexible to client needs/desires but aware when those needs/desires fall outside of my knowledge and experience base/remit. In this regard I refer clients on to other practitioners where appropriate. I consider this to be an integral part of my professional code of conduct and ethical practice. I believe I am able to offer clients a ‘safe pair of hands’ when they choose to work alongside me to explore, in confidence, their issues and moreover, when identifying and seeking to achieve their needs, wants and desires. This work is backed by regular monthly clinical supervision.
I am a private BACP UK registered[i] and BACP accredited [ii]practitioner and a member of the BACP Coaching Section currently working from home, and ensure that I offer clients a safe and welcoming environment, free from clutter, which is clean, neat and tidy with comfortable seating. My environment is a reflection of myself. My premises are in a shared house in a peaceful and green local environment, and free from intrusion.
