Deborah Southon runs Orchid Coaching and works with executives, business owners, senior managers and staff within public and private sector organisations and charities; providing a safe and constructive environment to explore work related problems and ways in which to grow their business or develop personally.

Deborah can work with your staff to help them help you run your business more effectively.

Deborah also works with staff referred through their employers, who are experiencing particular difficulties; assisting them in finding positive and helpful strategies to move forward.


Working with individuals and groups to aid your personal and career development, Deborah can help you in terms of confidence building and improving your well being and health; improving self belief and work/life balance. She can work with you while you explore these issues and also if you want help with stress or relationships. So whether you are wanting to make personal changes or wanting to support your staff or business; Deborah would be privileged to work with you to help you reach your goals.

Deborah Southon offers personal coaching to individuals and specialises in areas of loss, bullying and personal/career development.

Deborah also offers supervision to other professionals; she works with other coaches providing supervision. She also offer general supervision to staff; with extensive experience supervising health care professionals and public sector staff including doctors, vets, nurses, physiotherapists, social workers, public sector managers and executives.

Training, Qualifications & Experience

Deborah has 4 years experience of coaching within a wide variety of settings. She also has a long career as a Senior Manager within the public sector and has worked within psychiatric services. Before training as a coach she was involved in counselling and supervision all offering added value to her current clients.

Deborah has an Advanced Diploma in Executive, Business and Life Coaching, with over 400 hours of accredited training with Elliot-Griffiths. Deborah undertakes regular CPD and receives supervision for her coaching and for the supervision she provides.

Supervision training was undertaken with 'The Bath consultancy group'.

As you would expect Deborah undertakes regular CPD, supervision and is fully insured.

Past and present clients include the Strategic Health Authority, South West Councils, hospice staff, NHS staff, individuals including doctors, accountants, managers, business owners, housewives and students....

Further Information

Deborah does not have a set venue to meet clients. Many clients prefer to meet at their work place but where this is not appropriate or desired we can work together to find a suitable venue. Many places/clinics/library's/surgery's etc. rent offices and rooms and Deborah finds by using these spaces it allows maximum flexibility and is ecologically friendly (i.e. using other practitioners underused space and not leaving office space empty).

Deborah also offers online and telephone services and has clients from many locations.
