I help people who are unhappy in their jobs work out what they want and how to get there. Using a range of helpful strategies, fun activities and exercises that really make you think, I will help you gain a clear understanding of your ideal job.
Why would you benefit from Career Coaching?
When your job isn't working for you, there are often repercussions in other areas of your life. You may find yourself feeling tired and stressed, your relationships may suffer, and your self-esteem can be affected. You may also start to eat less healthily or drink a bit more to compensate for another bad day at work.
The average person spends 90.000 hours at work over their lifetime - so if you aren't enjoying your job, you are effectively losing out on 10 years of your life! This is where coaching can help.... It gives you the space to hear yourself think, to see a clear path ahead and to move towards it with support all the way. My mission is to help you find where you truly want to be.
How can I help you?
I’ve worked through a varied career in the private and public sectors – from probate to translating to healthcare research. All of these roles presented their own challenges: too much work, too little work, unhelpful managers, lack of opportunities and so forth. It wasn't all bad though - there were also supportive colleagues, interesting projects and the chance to be creative.
Finding my own ideal job as a coach took a while to figure out, with a few false starts along the way. I spent lots of time learning about personality, work and self-development. I also undertook training in counselling and coaching so that I could use this knowledge in a practical way. My goal now is to help you get to where you want to be much more quickly and easily!
How does Coaching work?
I offer one-to-one sessions by phone or Skype audio so we can connect wherever you are in the world. Together we will plan where you want to go, work on strategies and techniques and follow up after every session to help you stay on course,
The sessions use a blend of approaches drawn from life coaching, human needs counselling, hypnotherapy, psychology and strategic intervention. They are tailored to suit your individual interests, personality and learning style so that they are both enjoyable and effective.

"I’ve definitely gained more insight into my true personality in and out of the workplace, which has helped me be more aware of the types of jobs and lifestyle that would suit me best."
The insights Celia shared have been invaluable in moving forward both personally and professionally as I am now so much clearer in my values and how I should apply them.
I felt apprehensive about exploring this route as I felt skeptical but as soon as I made contact with Celia I instantly felt at ease. She is such an approachable calm and encouraging coach who is sensitive and insightful.
