How I got into Coaching

It all began in 2008 when I was diagnosed with a suspected stroke, fortunately it turned out to be bells' palsy; however this made me realise that I needed to change my lifestyle and give up smoking, which I did. Then in 2011 I was diagnosed with Chronic Fatigue Syndrome.

In 2012 I had my accident and if things had been different I wouldn't be here now. Going to see specialists and with all the major shifts in my life was the beginning of a chain of events that led to my NLP coaching journey.

I found that the questions that I was asked were also used in NLP coaching and this intrigued me to find out more. When I knew that coaching and NLP were a way of me being able to help people, I started training as an NLP coach.

I know that if I could help just one person to achieve what they want to achieve with a more positive outlook, thinking differently, then this would give me immense satisfaction. I find that what I give I get returned - meaning that if I give my time to support somebody in achieving their goals and aspirations, I will get satisfaction from knowing that that person has succeeded in their ambitions.

Why should you consider choosing me as your NLP Coach Practitioner

  • I am a visually impaired person. This means that I have a heightened unnamed.jpgsensory acuity - in other words, my other senses are more finely tuned, allowing me to listen to you innately with intuitiveness and empathy. I do this with an unconditional positive regard to whatever you want to achieve in life.
  • I believe in great rapport with a coaching client relationship, meaning that I can provide a supportive environment of health and well-being. My sessions are delivered via phone, skype or face to face, allowing individuals to choose the method most suited to them. I will enrich the clients experience with the main three senses that we all have - visual, auditory and kinesthetic (seeing what you see/hearing what you hear/feeling what you feel, as I am expert in visualisation).
  • My style of coaching is a fusion of inspirational and intuitive NLP, life coaching and Hypnotherapy - this allows us to tailor your coaching sessions to suit you. You can tell me how you want your coaching session to go - you as the client can choose how you want to be supported. I am also trained and qualified to help people with habits and phobias.

If you would like to talk to me then please do not hesitate to contact me. My door is always open.

Sessions can be booked with me from Mon-Friday 8.30am - 8.30pm, and Saturday 9.30am - 4.30pm. Sessions are by appointment only - please call me to discuss.

If you look at an oak tree, what do you see? Do you see the branches and the foliage? Or do you look below the trunk to see how the tree has grown? Where has the tree come from - how has it grown? What are the roots?

Here are a few 'what ifs' that we think about in our everyday lives:

  • What If we were more optimistic in life?
  • What If impossible was just a hidden word?
  • What If we were more trusting?
  • What If we sought to understand before being understood?
  • What If we played on our strings more and played down our negatives?

If you feel you have been inspired by this information, then don't hesitate to contact me today to discuss your aspiration or ambition in life and to discuss what you want to achieve.

Further information

"One of my first session goals was to get offered a job for an interview I was going to the next day. Brian helped me to understand how much I wanted to job and therefore the effort and thought I needed to put into the interview process and energy that I needed to bring to it. Brian helped me to turn my determination into confidence. I was offered the job a few days later and my (and Brian) were extremely happy.

Brian is upbeat, goes at my pace, is friendly, ultra supportive and a blessing in my life."

"What I liked best about my coaching sessions with Brian is that he put me at total ease. He listened to me intently and he gave me all the confidence that I needed to move forward in my steps.

In every session I would come away with new insights and with fresh new thinking. His approach was gentle but powerful and he always made me think outside the box.

His positive attitude and love for helping others really came through when he spoke. He was totally open-minded and praised me a lot for every bit of progress I made.

I now have a lot more confidence sharing my ideas with others and specifically becoming visible as a coach which was something that filled me with a dread.  He always demonstrated new techniques in the session that I hadn’t come across before which was refreshing because it made it a completely unique experience.

For anyone who lacks confidence Brian is the ideal coach because his warmth gives you the courage to do anything.  I always came away feeling great and that everything was easy and simple to get on with."

"I found Brian to be a caring and concerned coach who made me feel that the issues I wanted to work on were valid. His manner was gentle but firm enough to keep me on track when required. Brian had a great deal of patience and persistence which allowed me to find my own solutions meaning I was able to follow through on my action points.

Brian has supported me to refocus on my well-being and find the solutions for issues that were holding me back.  I am now confident that I am able to self-coach in these issues thanks to Brians support in encouraging me to find my own solutions."

"It was a very valuable experience for me as Brian taught me some techniques that I have applied in my life to improve my confidence in certain situations. Brian asked excellent questions and helped me to come up with some actions that helped me to move forward in my life. Brian was very professional and interested in my situation."

"I have found the coaching sessions very beneficial on both a personal and professional level rget enabled me to dissect my longer term goals into smaller achievable goals. I found the coaching style very encouraging.

The sessions were insightful and have opened me up to the idea that nothing is impossible and by training the mind to focus on small tasks. step by step big goals are achievable.

Lastly, the coaching sessions were relaxed and the Coach maintained a high level of professionalism at all times, the sessions were never dull and his questioning style was creative and thought provoking.."

"The coaching I have received from Brian has been of a beneficial factor as it has allowed me to focus on certain areas in my life that I had chosen not to address and as a result it has made me believe and behave in an inadequate manner not fitting in with my lifestyle."

"I have been working with Brian for a good few months and have found him to be quite inspirational. He has a passion for life which catching and most exhilirating. Brian has a wonderful intuitive gift of discovering hidden treasures within his clients that enable him to guide them to understanding who they are, what they makes them tick and what their goals really are. His coaching skills are very adept at helping you to identify and focus on the most important aspects of change and facing the fears that are holding you back. Brian helps to clarify your values in making the right choices for you."
