Alison Rendle - Business & Career Coach
I believe that everyone has the ability to achieve their goals and ambitions, and I have a passion for helping people to unleash their strengths and realise their potential.
If you are:
* Preparing for a new job, for promotion, or for retirement
* Wanting to enhance your work performance or leadership skills
* Aiming to improve your work/life balance
* Looking for a new direction in life
* Seeking to build your confidence, motivation or self-belief
I can help you!
In tailor-made sessions, face to face, by phone or Skype, I will help you determine actions to move you towards your goals. Using proven techniques from coaching and NLP, we will work together to raise your self-awareness; explore your aspirations and remove any barriers to success.
I am experienced in executive and business coaching, including support to develop leadership competencies in aspiring leaders and those looking to move up to the next level. I also enjoy coaching people through career transitions.
Coaching is a positive 1-1 personal development process which helps people to connect with their values and beliefs and tap into strengths and abilities that will help them to realise their ambitions. Academic research has shown that people who work with a skilled and qualified coach are more likely to achieve their goals and secure long term change. It has also been shown to improve wellbeing and reduce stress.
Training, qualifications & experience
* I am qualified as an Executive Coach at masters level through Bristol Business School.
* I have an ILM level 7 certificate in Executive Coaching.
I am an associate member of the Association for Coaching and abide by their code of ethics.
I constantly seek opportunities for further professional development by regularly attending workshops and training programmes, most recently neuroscience for coaches and 'Time to Think' for groups.
I have an excellent track record as a leader, having worked in education for 25 years and holding senior roles in a local authority and in secondary schools. I pride myself on bringing out the best in my colleagues through staff coaching so that they can achieve and exceed their targets.
Some years ago I had the opportunity to apply my leadership skills in a different context, as first mate on a large yacht crossing the Atlantic with a crew of 10. I was responsible for crew management, logistics and catering. During three weeks at sea I learnt a lot about building a team from scratch and maintaining their motivation, including the importance of good food in keeping up crew morale!
