Six week mindfulness programme
A six week course during which you will learn a variety of mindfulness practices and techniques to help calm your mind, live more presently, enhance your emotional and physical well-being, cultivate a more compassionate relationship towards yourself and others, have a greater capacity for relaxation, more self-confidence and an increased ability to handle stressful situations
- Week one – introduction to mindfulness. We define mindfulness (what) and gain a first-hand experience of different mindfulness practices (how) and their relevance to everyday life (why).
- Week two – be right where you are. Staying present with your present-moment experience, raising awareness of the minds tendency to wander and learn how to bring it back to the breath.
- Week three – our story telling minds. Understanding the body’s reaction to stress, noticing thoughts and extricating ourselves from the stories we create. Mindfulness of sound and walking.
- Week four – cultivating kindness. What we pay attention to is as important as how we pay attention to it, this week we learn to cultivate compassion for ourselves and others.
- Week five – willingness to be with things as they are. Changing our relationship to pain and stress, developing the ability to observe without being swept away.
- Week six – moving forward. Deepening the practice and exploring what is next.

Courses are inspired by the MBSR works of Dr. Jon Kabat-Zinn of University of Massachusetts Medical School and created and facilitated by mindfulness teacher and Coach Carroll Macey.
Carroll is a coach, people development consultant, mindfulness teacher trained at the world renowned Centre for Mindfulness at Bangor University and the Oxford Centre for Mindfulness. She is also co-author of "The Mindful Approach to Working Life". Carroll has 17+ years experience of helping people to be the best version of themselves.
