1. Fear of the unknown
Every assessment centre that you attend will be different. Some may include a number of aptitude and numerical tests, while others will include role play, verbal or written exercises and presentations. If you’ve never experienced these tests before, it might make you feel less confident and anxious because you don’t know what to expect.

If you ask for information, most organisations will get back to you with an itinerary for the day, and some may even send you practise papers or sample exercises.
2. Fear of others
In regular interviews you rarely meet other candidates that are applying for the same role. In assessment centres, you won’t only just meet them; you will most likely be asked to work collaboratively or competitively in some tasks. In these situations you might start making negative assumptions about your skill set, which can damage your confidence.
