Tried and tested life coaching techniques

Below are a few techniques that have been tried and tested with success by many a life coach. Take a look and you might just find something that will help you on the path to achieving your goals.

Don’t shout about it
If you have made your mind up you are going to change something in your life then try and resist the temptation to tell everyone about it. Sadly we often stumble on the way to achieving our goals or sometimes we don’t manage to get there at all, having told everyone about this ‘magnificent change’ only to have to have to tell them it didn;t quite happen will only leave you feeling inadequate and demoralised so try and keep things you would like to change on the quiet. If someone does happen to quiz you about it then don’t lie…just be very selective.

Ask for a helping hand if you need it
Don’t think you have to do this on your own because you don’t. As with most ventures in life we often need a little morale boost to jeep us on the right path. Taking the first step is a piece of cake, its actually sticking to the plan which is the real challenge. If you feel like you need a helping hand then don’t be afraid to ask for one. Find yourself a good life coach or even ask one of your friends to act as a sort of sponsor so you ca meet up on a regular basis to spur each other on.

Be positive
This sounds pretty obvious but make sure you are aware of your mood and if you feel it slipping into the realm of negativity then nip it in the bud. Give yourself a few minutes too get back in the positive zone and banish those negative thoughts and keep remembering that every problem has a solution.

Embrace Failure

No body achieves success without falling down at some point. It is how we pick ourselves up, learn from our mistakes and move forward with positivity that counts. Don’t take your failings personally, instead focus on how you have conquered the mistake and move on.
