What really goes on during lifecoaching

An article over at the This Is Plymouth website gives a first hand account of what it’s really like to undertake life coaching sessions.

The writer describes himself as needing motivating and ambition, and as part of his first session he completed a questionnaire which helped to identify other areas that may need work, such as confidence, and set goals.

The life coach in question, Gavin Wilson, otherwise known as SuperGuy, specifically works with men, who often struggle to talk about their feelings and ask for help.

With a background in personal coaching and fitness, the sessions combined fitness training sessions, image consultancy, and talking through problems and scenarios.

Of his experience, the writer said: “Before I met Gavin I’d thought about going to a lifestyle coach, or at least somebody who’d boost my confidence and reduce my fear of failure.

“I never have done, because I thought I might get taken to the cleaners. The cost would be enormous, I figured.

“But an hour or two of advice would cost less than I might pay to call in a plumber to fix a problem tap.”
