Young people find their lives 'meaningless'

A survey carried out by the Prince’s Trust has revealed that one in 10 young people feel life is ‘meaningless’, reports The Independent.

A poll of over 2,000 young people found that over a quarter of them felt depressed and less happy as they got older. Half said they felt they suffered from stress and didn’t have anything to look forward to in their lives.

The cause were similar to adults worries, including work, money, and relationships with families and friends, and those who had left school but not pursued further training were twice as likely to feel that their lives were meaningless.
